This Baby Girl Can’t Stop Laughing When Her Dad Tries To Get Her To Say ‘Papa’

The best thing about babies is how simple and innocent they are. You can say anything to them, make them do anything and they will do, laughing all the way with you.

Children at this age also have great memories or learning capacity their brains are still developing and new neuronal connections form very very fast. Their minds are malleable so they retain things you tell them easily. For instance if you tell a child that something is dirty for some time, few days later you will find me looking at the thing and saying ‘Dirty’ or immigrating some action you had done because they remember it. This is why it is also said to be careful about what you say and how you act in front of children as they will remember it all.

Children of all ages also prefer to be with their parents, either because they are not scared of them as they would be of a stranger, or because they are attached to their parents as they spend nearly all the time together nor have more fun with them.

This is also what this video shows. The father had his daughter strapped in the baby carrier, tied to his back. The little girl would be around 8 months old and is eagerly looking over her date he’s shoulder at all the sights they cross on their way. They are taking a stroll on a winter morning; you can make out how cold it is with the number of layers of heavy clothes they both are wearing. The father has the camera turned towards them and starts by saying ‘Mama’ in his normal tone, he then immediately replied to himself by saying ‘Pah-Pah’ in a funny, croaky way which makes the baby erupt into pleas of laughter. He was trying to say Papa in a funny way and that made the child laugh out loud. The father began laughing too with his daughter as she was laughing in regular most adorable way. He tried to say ‘Mama’ again to reply with papa in the similar funny way but even he was cut short as he could not stop his laughter. He tried again, this time he was able to say ‘Mama’ while he laughed, and then replied again in the same croaky voice, ‘Pah-Pah’. The girl laughed loudly again and that made the father laugh out loudly too. You can see the delight on the child’s face as she listens to her father being hilarious and in return she responds in a complimentary way. She then began playing along, saying Mama herself so that her father would say Papa in his funny way. She is so adorable, having a proper conversation with her father as she points a horse standing along the way, grazing in a grassy field. She pointed it out and said, ‘Pashay’. The father too reacted like it was a conversation saying, ‘Yeah Pashay.’ So as to make her feel that she was right, he took out a neighing voice to imitate the horse but that did not amuse the baby as much as turning back and seeing the camera still directed towards them did. Looking at it made her realize that her father would continue with the game and that made her laugh. And sure enough, her father said ‘Pah-Pah’ again and this time guess what the child did? She said ‘Papa’ too! She tried to say it like her father and it was a cute little imitation. When the father said ‘Mama’ the next time, she said ‘Mah’ and immediately the father said ‘Pah-pah’, making them both laugh loudly again. By this time the baby girl had understood the game so when the father said ‘Mama’ again, she said ‘Pah’, half the word in the same croaky way as her father. They both laughed loudly and continued the game one last time.

The father was being awfully clever by trying to make this a funny game, ingraining in the child’s mind a response to whenever someone said Mama in front of her. Since he had been replying Papa in a funny way to the word mama, the baby will believe it to be a game. So whenever someone will ask her to say Mama or someone will say the Mama, the child is sure to respond with a Papa in the same croaky voice as she will think it is the same game! This is like a reflex reaction that the child will have! And since the father had played it so many times with the child, and laughed along, she was sure to think of it as a joke and remember it for quite some time.

This is actually a very neat and smart way to reach your children something too. Taking them out will be a change of environment and they will be having fun. If at this time you try to teach them Ina funny way, laughing along then they will learn it as though it is a game. For example if you are trying to teach them how to say hello or hi, and you start a similar game of saying ‘Hello’ and responding with ‘Hi’ in a similar way, the child will laugh along and learn it up.

The idea is to be creative around your children and to stop being and thinking like an adult. Children love playing games with their parents and want to be free around you. If you let your adult guard down, you will be able to play along with them, laugh with them and come up with great ideas to enjoy with your own baby. So stop being a grown up around your children and begin having fun today. It will be almost as though you have gotten your childhood back!
