FOX Television Show ‘Bones’ Is Finally Ending

Though Bones isn’t the most popular show on television it has a massive loyal fanbase. The television show began it’s life back in 2005 as an experimental show. It was one of the first shows to be based off a book and then just run with the premise, spawning it’s own life and story. Bones was one of the few shows that made it through the transition when FOX began to drastically revamp it’s image. The show was just so successful and the fact that it is currently in it’s 11th season speaks volumes.
For those that follow Bones religiously you’ll know that the end has been coming for some time. Many of the hanging story lines has been wrapped up and the feel of the show is one of a lumbering giant that doesn’t know where to go anymore. FOX picked up Bones for a 12th season but only ordered 12 episodes rather than the traditional 22. Fans wondered if there would be enough episodes left to give the show the sendoff it deserves.
Show stars Emily Deschanel (Dr. Temperance Brennan) and David Boreanaz(Agent Seeley Booth) have both taken to social media to thank the fans that supported the show for so long.
As sad as it is to know something you have loved doing for 11 years will be ending, I am so glad we will have the opportunity to end it well

Thank you for the most loyal, dedicated and kind fans in the world! We couldn’t have done any of this without you!

Whereas David, gave a much more simple thank you.
Thank you Fans. Above and Beyond. https://t.co/enzOSPSgZD

The show ending coincides with some legal issues between the FOX network and the stars of the show. Dechanel and Boreanaz along with two producers are suing FOX for money that they believe they are owed. But it is not believed that the legal battle is why the network decided to end the show now. Regardless of what’s going on behind the scenes, fans should rejoice the fact that they got 12 wonderful seasons of one of their favorite shows. We’re looking forward to the final season and what we’re sure is an emotional finale.
