It’s that time of year again, time for Apple to unveil the new iPhone. For all those that are itching to trade out their phones for the latest and greatest from Apple finally have an answer after waiting an entire year. The event has been slated for September 7th. What’s on the docket for Apple’s event of the year? Obviously the iPhone 7, but also the overhauled Apple Watch 2 is also rumored to be making its appearance.
True to traditional Apple form, they revealed nothing about what will be front and center stage. But thankfully the internet is full of helpful rumors. Though helpful as they are, we managed to narrow down the most likely rumors. Nothing indicates that there will be a drastic design change so you can expect it to look, at least outwardly, very much like the iPhone 6 and 6s. There are other rumors that say there will be a redesigned screen where they get rid of the home screen button altogether. Instead, there will be a completely glass touch screen.
One of the more controversial changes will be the potential and probable removal of the 3.5mm headphone jack. This has already been done by a few phones including the new modular Moto Z and Moto Z Force. This is most likely to allow for an even thinner design for the future and to reinvent the lightning port, again. That means if you want to listen to music you’ll need bluetooth headphones, which many people already have, or you’ll need an adapter that allows for headphones to plug into the lightning port.
One of the most anticipated new products is the successor to the Apple Watch, the Apple Watch 2. For any hardcore Apple lover, this new watch will be a must have. It will feature a much slimmer body compared to the original as well as a GPS tracking functions that will allow it to act as a fitness tracker. Plus it should have a much higher battery life which many Apple Watch owners previously complained about. To too it all off, they should also be releasing their new iOS 10 for their phones, tablets, and itouches.
