Donald Trump has some very outlandish ideas about foreign policy but it seems like there are some people who agree with certain parts of it. Namely, Trump’s promise to at least attempt reestablishing a positive and “substantial” relationship with Russia. Trump has, on multiple occasions, spoken positively about both Vladimir Putin and a fruitful relationship between Russia and the U.S. In fact, Putin has in kind formally endorsed Trump as the best candidate for president of the U.S.
[Donald Trump is] a really brilliant and talented person, without any doubt,” [Vladimir] Putin told reporters, according to a translation by Interfax. “It’s not our job to judge his qualities, that’s a job for American voters, but he’s the absolute leader in the presidential race.”Though translations are a bit rough and Putin has since denied calling Trump “brilliant.” But, he does still support the GOP front runner. Additionally, Putin has said that “If it’s Hillary Clinton it’s war.” According to various news outlets, Russian citizens view Clinton as “satan.” Putin has said that Clinton’s plans when it comes to Russia would inevitably lead to war between the two nations. Russia as well as other European countries got a taste of Clinton as the Secretary of State and they weren’t happy to say the least. Her intercepted emails just poured oil on the fire.
Trump has even revealed that he received a very interesting donation from a 75 year old Russian man, Felix Kolsky. Kolsky donated his entire life savings, the equivalent to $1,500, which he was planning on using to buy dentures with. He states that he would rather go without teeth just to stop the potential war if Clinton was elected. “I could live without teeth if there would be no war. Look at Hillary, it’s clear—she is ready to storm Russia tomorrow!”
Putin asserts that Hillary would only exacerbate the tense situation that Obama would leave the nations. Obama has just completed a missile system that puts Russia under a lot of pressure. Russian officials say it violates the treaty between the two nations that brought an end to the cold war.
